Sega
Was talking about console history with my girlfriend last night, and I started thinking about the Sega Genesis. I briefly had a Genesis console back in the day. I remember playing Toejam and Earl, the Sonic series, and Killer Instinct. I finally swapped out for a SNES. The SNES was graphically inferior, but I dont think anyone can argue with the quanity of quality games on the console, versus the Genesis. When the Saturn came out, I played alot of Virtua Fighter, and Virtua Cop at my friends house. Never knew about Resident Evil at the time. I never even played a Dreamcast, despite hearing alot of praise. I think the only reason I ever considered getting one was for Code Veronica, but it was soon ported to PS2, and shortly after, the console died out.
If youd have told me ten years ago that Sega would one day be manufacturing games that would appear on Nintendo consoles, I wouldve waved my dick in your face, and called you a turdhammock. But nowadays its becoming common to see Mario and Sonic on the same screen. Its weird looking back. The SNES and the Genesis were once comparable to the XBOX, and Playstation of today. Its interesting to consider what changes will come about over the next few years. Im a Playstation fanboy, admittedly. Ive just always enjoyed the games on PS consoles moreso than XBOX. But the sad reality is that Microsoft will most likely monopolize console gaming in the future, and the Sony Playstation will just be a nostalgic memory.
Anyway, do you guys think that Sega will ever get back into the console game?
