Gamecube
What about this poor little thing, I thought it was good, but fate had other ideas. Why do you think it failed. What are your favourite games on the console.
Some of mine:
Resident Evil
Resident Evil 0
Luigis Mansion
Mario Sunshine
MK: Double Dash

Well it definately wasn't the most successful of that generation. XBox and PS2 absolutely owned it. Good games for it, but generally not a popular console. The tables have turned in this generation though. I like the old RE ports onto this console though, because it just feels smoother.

Perhaps 'failed' was too strong a word, but it certainly got served by Microsoft and Sony. But hey, what about the Wii! I think its shit, but its selling.

Well, I only owned a Gamecube very briefly. I bought it souly for the purpose of playing RE4, REmake, and Zero. However, I ended up playing a few other titles, including MGS:TTS, which I now consider to be MG blasphemy. Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door was the only other game I really got into. Took me ages to beat it, and once I did, I never touched it again. That was a truly wonderful game though. I remember there being a ton of games I wanted to play, but just never got around to getting them.

The Wii focuses on gameplay, not graphics, and appeals to everyone. That's why it sells. The GameCube was not innovative, neither were the games. I just like having my Wii and playing GameCube games on it. PS2 absolutely owned it though, but I've never been into XBox. 360 is good though.

gamecube was the lacky of the 3 last gen consoles IMO. PS2 was fabulous and the xbox was wonderful. the gamecube...sigh...lunch box design. also the games weren't exactly the best. gamecube had the worst installment of mario, zelda, and metroid! all the great franchises at their worst. not to say they were bad, just the worst of their kind. wii's good though..wii's real good.

Strangely, now I have a Wii, I play more Cube games than I do for the Wii.
