Default Police Station Window

In the hall in the police station next to the darkroom (and with the stairs leading to the sceond floor where tha statue puzzle is), there is a window. It is said that Resident Evil 3 occurs hours before RE2 - in RE3, Nemesis jumps through the window is this hall, destorying it completely - yet, in RE2 (after this event) the window is fixed... How could this happen?

obviously it was just a continuity error that they couldn't do anything about, its not like they could re-release Resident Evil 2 complete with broken hall window just to keep up all continuities.

nice observation though!

There's alot of crazy stuff in the RE3 police station that doesn't make sense if you look around a little. I racked my brain for along time about the boarded up doors and shit before I decided it was better to just not think about it. I mean it's pretty much gameplay devices to keep you from going through the whole police station which is pretty huge in it's own right.

Chief Irons could have removed those. We know he was still alive between RE3 and RE2 and he has a reason to do it; he wanted everyone to die, so it kinda makes sense to unblock the doors. The zombies can get out and kill the survivors.

Or maybe the zombies just pushed against the doors long enough
