It is yes, but the fact that some fans hate it because the zombies are differ then the regular zombies.

I have to disagree with you. Resi 4 was so much different from the rest that I cant see how you can compare them. Personally, I think it was the original formula that made the series stand out, and thats why I like REmake for the GC the best. Granted, the formula was getting tired, and thats why RE4 was made the way it was made.

It IS totally awesome, but totally different.

I think that it's all about personal taste really. I do like 4, but the concept was crap in terms to umbrella. If they could of implemented more of the survival horror roots to 4, and add some decent challenging puzzles, I would be happy. I have faith in 5, and if it is done right, it could be my next favorite

I have little faith in RE5, and I hated RE4. However, I'm still interested to see what direction the series will be going in, in terms of its story.

You mean: in your opinion it's the best RE game. It's not a fact that RE4 is the best RE game... a lot of fans will say otherwise.

Agreed. Although personally I don't have that much faith in RE5.

I loved RE4 but not for the same reasons I liked The first 3 and CV. To me it was fun blasting the hell out of those plagas and all the cool weapons you could use. But it was really linear, pretty much consisting of getting item to move on to the next area. There was way too much action to get the creeped out feeling you got from the first ones. And unless your aim was just terrible there was always enough ammo gold and herbs to keep you alive. I loved the new control set up, no more bad angles and weird camera changes, but there really wasn't any genuine scares, especially since they made Leon into "cool, arrogant, shit don't bother me" guy. It's hard to take the situation seriously when you have Ada, Leon, and Louis cracking jokes the whole time. And the puzzles were pretty much non existant.

*SPOILER*

And the whole Umbrella is dead, oh wait no it isn't thing wreaked of Tekken 5 Heihachi bullshit.

Really I thought Code Veronica should be 4 and and 4 should have been a separate side story.

That's exactly what I think too. The gameplay is good, but the game lacks the atmosphere, the story, the scares and basically the whole survival horror aspect of other RE games.

I had to have played through RE4 about 7 times. I ended up buying both the tommy gun and the infinite rocket launcher. I love the whole behind the back camera and you get to aim where you're going to shoot. just too much lack of control of where you're shooting in 1-3 and CV. plus I've never really cared for the stories in the series but 4 had the best IMO.
